How to plan a wedding theme? Why don’t start with colors? – For Brides to be | LMR Weddings
Wedding Theme Planning – Color
Normally the most common question that wedding planners receive from clients is how they can make their wedding stand out from all of the rest, especially if their close friends are getting married around the same time (it is really conmen in Hong Kong). The key to successfully personalizing your big day is to “Bring in something that will remind people of you, whether a special song, a color you love to wear, or even just a feeling.”
Color – The Simplest Step of Wedding Theme
Let’s start with the simplest step – color. Draw inspiration from basic factors like the venue and season, then think about the atmosphere you’re trying to set. Do you prefer playful and fun? Or dreaming for lavish and intimate? Keep in mind that your color will inform other design elements down the road, like bridesmaid dresses and flowers. Get inspired by our favorite wedding color below!
Red – The Blessed Color
As red means blissful and joyful in Chinese tradition, you can always consider red first. It is a timeless color palette with a lot of drama. Red works perfect with black, white & gold and work well for a wedding in any theme and at any time of the year except perhaps the spring. Deep red bridesmaid dresses in silk or satin would be elegant and also highlight the bride perfectly. The men would wear the classic black tie or black suits with white shirts and ties with red accents for a daytime wedding. Instead of the expected rose red, consider plum, dusty cedar or crimson can enrich the color palette of your wedding.
Blush/Pink – Soft and Feminine
Pink is a safe color that you can count on to stick around. In fact, you could almost declare pink to be the new white. It is a soft and feminine color that very easy to add to the centerpieces, bouquets, other floral displays, almost all aspects of weddings. Replacing things that are typically white with pink will make them a bit different, but at the same time, safe. It is a nice way to add some color to your wedding without feeling like you are straying too far from the traditional or classic wedding style. For enriching your color palette, consider about pink parasol, pink chablis, sweet sachet and pearl cream.
Blue – Trendy and Cool
Blue is a very appropriate color for a fall wedding, it is very beautiful as well. They are particularly nice when the bride does not want to go with one of the standard colors. It’s gorgeous and meaningful that will inspire those who with “a blue heart” (a deep and stable love). Navy Blue is one of the most flattering and versatile colors for evening dress and bridesmaid dresses, and it is always in style and would work equally well for a daytime or evening wedding. You will be surprised that how wonderful if you use blue as the primary color to match with gold and teal.
